It looks like someone is about to fall asleep in the pillows. It’s pretty funny how dogs use pillows like humans. Or at least mine does.
Buddy’s new BarkBox came today. If you’re not familiar with BarkBox, it’s a mail order company which sends out boxes catering to dogs each month. Each box features a different variety of toys, treats and other dog-related items like shampoos and even the occasional cake mix. This is Buddy’s third box and he loves them. It’s like he knows the box is for him. This month’s box had an octopus toy, a bully stick and two different bags of treats. So far, Buddy has tried the Superior Farms treats and he seemed to really like him. I think his favorite is the octopus though. It may have already lost a limb or two, which shows just how much he loves it. If you’re interested in BarkBox, check it out here. If you want to sign up, click here. Buddy will be happy you did, since he’ll get a free box added on to his subscription. Groupon also occasionally runs subscription deals, which is how Buddy got his subscription. They don’t have any specials right now, but I’d be surprised if they didn’t run one again at some point.
And the grooming trip was a success. Buddy can now see again and he’s all nice and clean. It went off without a hitch. I don’t know why I always worry about it so much, but I do. In other news, I was able to catch up with some friends from high school that I haven’t see in a while. It had been a pretty long time since we had seen each other. Hopefully we won’t let so much time pass before we see each other again, but with work and other commitments it’s hard to find the time to meet up. It’s always nice when it works out though.
It’s a good thing someone has a grooming appointment in the morning. His hair is getting crazier by the day. I think some of it has been because of the recent rain and then snow the last few days. And I know he likes his groomer and playing with the other dogs, but I always worry about dropping him off. I hate having to leave him there, but I know he’ll be okay and all pretty and clean when I pick him up.
Buddy is sacked out. Ron and I took him to my parents house so he spent hours running around, checking everything out. My mom recently has shoulder surgery so we spent the day visiting with her and my dad. With work, it’s hard to get there during the week, but she seems to be healing and it was nice spending time there.
Santa Paws was so good to Buddy this year that his toys are taking over his crate. He has to move them around to make room to lay down, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. He loves his toys and actually looks pretty depressed for a couple of hours if you throw any of the pieces away.
Buddy’s December BarkBox came today! I think this one was better than last month’s, although Buddy was pretty addicted to his antler chew. This month’s box includes a moose toy, red velvet dog cake mix, a bag of treats and oatmeal shampoo. Buddy has already made friends with the moose and I’ll make his cake sometime later this week. We haven’t tried the treats or shampoo yet. Maybe he’ll have a Christmas bath and we’ll try it out.
Buddy acts so weird sometimes. He crawled under the couch and was barking. He acted like he had a friend under there. I looked everywhere, thinking maybe there was a bug, but I couldn’t find anything. Then he started pulling out toys he hasn’t played with in months. Goof ball.
