My new IKEA catalog came today! It’s like Christmas came early. I love the IKEA catalog. It’s full of fun products and decorating ideas. I can’t wait until I have a house to decorate. I already have all sorts of ideas for decorating projects.
I worked late today and then finished up some stuff at home. When I was finished Ron and I caught up on tonight’s episode of “Under the Dome,” which I’m obsessed with. I guess we stayed up too late for Buddy since he sacked out on the couch and took a nap. Either that or he’s really annoyed at the lack of dogs on trapped within the dome.
Today was a full day. This morning we celebrated the baptism of some friends at church, then we had lunch and did our usual Sunday grocery shopping. We then headed home and started our laundry before heading back out to dinner for Ron’s grandfather’s birthday. When we got home we finished the laundry, gave Buddy a bath since he’s been itching for the past two days after I put his new flea stuff on (which we probably won’t be using again), washed all of his stuff and did some serious pre-beach cleaning. This is going to be a busy week before we leave for vacation so tomorrow will be busy as well, but vacation is on the horizon so we’ll make it work.
It’s a really good thing they didn’t make these when I was younger because I would have had to have them all. I actually really want them now. I’m a Crayola kid. I always had to have Crayola. The off brand crayons just aren’t as good. I hate to hear parents make their children buy the crappy crayons. I’m beyond thrifty and a serious couponer, but it’s worth the few extra cents to buy good crayons. I still have my treasure chest of crayons with the special unnamed colors. Love! And of course I had the gemstone colors, the neons and a bunch of other specialty ones. I’m a nerd. I actually love all school supplies. I should have a job as a personal back to school shopper. Rather than screaming at your children in Target over pencils I’ll take them out and have a fabulous time. In the meantime, I’ll get my school supply fix by purchasing and donating supplies for a mission project geared towards homeless children. And yes, I did buy them Crayola instead of the cheapy stuff.
The fair is coming! The fair is coming! I really like the agricultural fair. I don’t really ride the rides and maybe play one game so it isn’t super expensive for me. Really I just go to see the animals and check out the handicraft entries and exhibits. I like to see what people grew or made and the animals are always cool although I have to fight the urge to bring home a floppy eared rabbit every year. I can’t wait to check it all out.
