Buddy got an unexpected gift tonight. My niece gave him a new toy she picked up for him in town. He absolutely loves it. It was a rope frisbee, but in true Buddy fashion it’s now a jumbled up pile up rope and fabric. That just shows how much he loves it. Only the best toys get “redesigned.”
I had pasta today for the first time in over a month. I know this isn’t the best picture, but I realized I hadn’t put enough sauce on my plate after I had already added cheese. Anyway, I made gluten free pasta for the first time. It’s rice pasta, so it’s a little bit stickier than normal pasta. You have to constantly stir it while it’s boiling, but it was pretty good. It was nice to have spaghetti again, since I hadn’t had it in quite a while.
St. Patrick’s Day has taken over. I love all of the holidays leading up to spring. Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patricks Day and especially Easter, which is really when spring has sprung. I’m ready for flip flops and dresses. I’m over sweaters and jeans. It’s time for spring; enough of winter already.
Taste the rainbow? I needed something to put in my globe for St. Patrick’s Day so I made a rainbow display using skittles and gold coins. That’s what the holiday is all about. Rainbows and gold. And leprechauns, but I didn’t really have one of those anywhere. Now if I can just keep peoplw from eating the top layer of the rainbow…
Buddy’s latest BarkBox came today! It had two bags of treats, a treat dispensing ball, a bag of bones and a toy. Usually the toys are great, but this one made me nervous. It was a wool toy filled with a straw-like wiry substance. Buddy’s an aggressive chewer with his toys. Basically he rips all the stuffing out and chews on the toy until it gets to a certain point. Then he just carries it around. He was chewing on this one when he started acting almost like he was choking. He usually doesn’t eat any of the stuff, he just makes a mess and leaves it everywhere. I don’t know if he ate something on this toy or what, but it freaked me out. Needless to say this toy is back in the BarkBox. I don’t think he’ll get it back. I don’t want him to hurt himself with it.
Guess I won’t need to buy contacts anytime soon since I have 90 pairs. I’m super bad about actually changing them out though. There supposed to be one-day, but that seems wasteful so I usually use them for about a week. Obviously I take them out at night and use cleansing solution like you would with normal contacts. I still feel like my optometrist would frown, but maybe he gets kickbacks from Acuvue. Right?
