Dinner at Longhorn. I love salmon and theirs is pretty good. However, they just started two for $30 with two entrees, an appetizer and two salads. So basically I filled up on salad and shrimp didn’t make it to the salmon, but I brought it home so it’ll make a great meal later.

Tomorrow is my official birthday day according to work. Since I can’t use it on my actual birthday because Tuesdays are super busy, I moved it to tomorrow (which also gives me a long weekend with Monday being a holiday). Having a day off during the week is rare so I have a ton of things I want to get done. Sometimes I think my off days are more productive than my on days.

I launched a new blog. This one will stay active and my 365 project will forge on. However, I wanted to start a new project–a 30 by 30 project. Basically it’s a bucket list for the end of your twenties. I have three years to accomplish 30 things before my thirtieth birthday. Some are simple, others more complicated and some are travel oriented. The idea is to accomplish things before your more mature and responsibility-laden 30s take over. Sounds fun, right? Feel free to jump on the bandwagon. Twenty before 20, 40 before 40, 50 before 50, etc. Age is only a number. I’m sure everyone has something they’d like to do before their next decade. And visit my new blog. I’ve added the link to my blogroll on the right of this blog.

Es mi cumpleanos! Ron got me an ice cream cake, which I was super excited about and which I ate way too much of. It was amazing! I wish I didn’t spend my birthday at work and sitting in meetings, but it’s okay since I’m off Friday for my birthday and Monday for the holiday. I’m excited for a long weekend. And thanks for all the birthday wishes. I really appreciate them and I’m so grateful and blessed that I have such great friends and family. Adios 26 and hola 27!

Tomorrow is my birthday! Twenty-seven. Whoosh! I don’t really feel like I’m in my late-twenties, so I guess that’s a good thing. People act like 27 is old but I feel pretty young.

Off to bed early tonight. I have to get up earlier than usual for work in order to photograph convocation. Then I have a million things to finish before tomorrow, starting with trying to call Haiti again (random I know). But at least its a short week and a long weekend. I have off on Friday and then Monday is a holiday. Perfect.

For my upcoming birthday, World Market sent me $10 off any purchase with the exclusion of alcohol, with no minimum purchase required. Awesome! I bought three sodas, two Lindt white chocolate truffles and a plastic lunch box thing. So far I’ve only tried the Pig Cola, but it’s really good. None of that high fructose corn syrup either, but instead cane sugar. I may have to get some more. Thanks World Market for the birthday gift!

Yes, these are Olive Garden breadsticks. They are amazing so I brought the leftovers home. Ron and I went there for dinner tonight. He eats the pasta and I fully go solely for the salad and breadsticks. Then I smuggle the extra breadsticks home in his box 🙂

Today, I spent the afternoon on the golf course. Now, I’m the type of person who gets annoyed with putt putt so I wasn’t playing. Instead, I had to photograph a high school golf tournament for work. It isn’t my favorite assignment, but I’m outdoors for a few hours and the pictures turn out well. I got to drive a cart so I could easily get to where all the golfers were along the course, but the mosquitos were ridiculous. Currently the West Nile outbreak is only in Texas, but if it shows up here I probably have it. I tried to fight them off, but I was massively outnumbered.

I received some promo codes from Victoria’s Secret for my upcoming birthday. Now I just have to pick something to spend them on. Plus, I’ll go through ebates so I can get 2% cash back on top of the promo codes. I love discounts!
