Today Ron and I went to D.C. We spent most of the day at the Zoo before heading over to the Tidal Basin to check out the Cherry Blossom Trees. The National Cherry Blossom Festival begins this week, a little earlier than usual due to the recent warm weather pushing the trees to bloom earlier. Right now, they’re bloomed and gorgeous, but they are just starting to turn pink. Some are further along than others. I enjoyed seeing them, and even though the festival hasn’t begun yet, the area near them was packed full of people. We had a great day though and while it was cloudy and a little cold this morning, the sun came out and it warmed up in the afternoon. It turned into a beautiful day. I’m glad we went, since we weren’t sure this morning if we wanted to go. We definitely made the right desicion.
