We woke up this morning at the crack of dawn and drove home from the beach. We had some errands to do around town and had lunch at Panera. Now, once we finish up a movie it’s time for bed. I’m so tired.

Tonight’s our last night at the beach. I don’t know why, but I always get a little sad when vacation is over. I guess lots of people do. It’s not that I don’t want to go home, it’s just that it takes so long for vacation to come, and then it goes by¬†too fast. At least Ron and I have another trip lined up in September so we have something to look forward to. And it isn’t like we won’t ever see the beach again. We’ll be back next summer and probably even before that. I want to go to the aquarium down here, but it’s only open 9-5. Unless you want to waste an entire day at the beach indoors, and really who would want to do that, or it rains one day, it isn’t very convenient to go. We tried to go when we came in January, but it was New Year’s Day, so the aquarium wasn’t open. We talked about trying again this winter or next spring, before it gets hot enough to actually lay on the beach. That way, we won’t miss a day in the sun by being indoors. And, it’ll give us a reason to come back, instead of just talking about it. It’s been a good vacation–lots of sand, sun and fun, but it’ll be nice to get home and start really planning our September vacation. And, I always like August. It’s a great month. The weather is hot and sunny and my birthday is at the end of the month. So I’m okay with leaving the beach, even though it did feel like the week flew by and I’m certainly grateful that we were able to spend a week at the beach.

It was a cloudy day today at the beach, but it turned out to be nice. I played some volleyball, laid in the chair and swam in the pool. Then after dinner, and more volleyball, Ron and I went out to a few shops. Even with the clouds and intermittent rain, it was a good day. I do hope it’s sunny tomorrow though.

It’s been a very long day. We woke up super early and drove to the beach, ate breakfast, killed some time, checked in, grocery shopped, ate dinner and played volleyball. I’m looking forward to a much calmer day tomorrow with fun and sun. Time to lay on the beach, down vitamin waters, read my book and work on my tan.

I cleaned out my purse this afternoon. Doesn’t everybody have this much stuff in their bag? I guess that’s the problem with a big bag. You can carry a lot of stuff, but you can also accumulate a lot of junk.
